Twilight of hope

twilight

Laying supine in this Dark hole

Alone, beaten and nobody to hold

Looking for an escape from this darkness of my miseries

But its to dark to follow anything I see.

That darkness was getting in me every moment

Giving up to it was the only option left.

I was seconds away from getting dark inside

When I saw that a dim light

From that twilight.

It made my fight again

Cause little longer is all I have to stay.

Cause now I know that

Sunshine is in his way.

I dont believe it… Sorry but it’s more of acceptance and resignation than possibility of hope… Some situations are far too difficult for this lifetime

  8. I wonder why Twilight and not Dawn. Maybe days feel the darkest. There are times in life when that seems true. When jobs or life in general is worse by day and nights seem more free. Being a creature of the night, I can attest to a certain feeling of freedom at night but I like the metaphor of the rising sun, letting in the light. Twilight for me is beautiful, it’s the time when dates begin, when lights in town come on, for celebrations, barbecues, fireworks, romance, fireflies, children’s games of red light, and statues. So I suppose I understand if one is looking for that sweetness and innocence where that kind of hope lies, it would be in the twilight and not in the new working day. It’s a good poem either way!
